Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC):
Individuals looking for information from the IRCC can speak to a representative directly at 1-888-242-2100 or you can visit their site.
Our office – with signed consent from constituents – can obtain periodic status updates from the IRCC for applications that they have either sponsored or applied for. The categories are as follows:
Citizenship (Including Proof of Citizenship)
Permanent Residence (Including Refugee Applications)
Sponsorship (Family or Spousal)Study Permit
In the case of an emergency, we are also able to alert the IRCC when important supporting documents were not provided by either a sponsor or applicant in the original application package. If these documents do not need to be original signed documents, we can electronically send them for processing. If the processing office requires original documents we can send notice that they are on their way with an electronic copy of shipping details.
Unfortunately, not all applications sent to the IRCC are approved. In the case that a sponsor or applicant believes their application has been incorrectly judged, Nate is able to advocate on your behalf to the minister when compelling evidence is provided.
