Holiday hamper programs are a great way to give back to our communities and support those who are less fortunate during the holiday season. See below for ways to support and get involved.

Community Centre 55’s 41st Annual Share a Christmas Programme

Cash & Gift Cards: In person at Community Centre 55  (Tax Receipt cannot be given for Gift Cards.)
Credit Cards: In person, by phone or through Canada Helps here
Cheque: In person or by mail.
E-transfer: [email protected] > No password needed, but please designate that it is for Share a Christmas (SAC) and include a postal or email address to receive a charitable tax receipt.

Grant AME Church's White Gifts Christmas Hamper Project 2022

They are seeking donations of food, personal care items, diapers, toys, hams, turkeys, chickens, and gift cards.
Alternatively, a monetary donation can be given by E-transfer to [email protected] or cheque via mail to: Grant AME Church2029 Gerrard St. East Toronto, ON M4E 2B3. Please indicate Christmas Food Hamper in the memo section.

Secord/Access Alliance 

Annual Holiday take-out meal: Taking place on Tuesday, December 13th from 12-3pm, we’ll be serving 300 meals to community members of the Taylor Massey and Oakridge community. The event is sponsored by BMO and will be hosted with the support of Access Alliance Anchor partners: The Neighbourhood Group and East York East Toronto Family Resource Centre. In addition to a take-out meal, community members will receive a gift and children books from the hub in celebration of the holidays.

Holiday Hamper: Access Alliance's annual Holiday Hamper Program consists of supporting low income and new Canadian families in the Taylor-Massey and Oakridge neighbourhood. This program will help over 100 families to have a memorable holiday, with food and gifts, and truly enjoy the holiday season as a family.

Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund: This initiative will provide over 800 children under the age of 12 with a gift to open during the winter holiday season. These gifts consist of personal items, gender-neutral and age-appropriate toys, and dental hygiene products.

CHUM wish project: In collaboration with CP24 CHUM Holiday Gift Project, Access Alliance is providing toys and gifts cards to vulnerable families in our communities.

LGBTQ+ Holiday Dinner: Celebrate the Holidays with Access Alliance's LGBTQ+ newcomer community and chosen family on December 22nd, from 5pm-7pm. There will be food, music, games, art and lots more fun!"

EarlyON new year event: A New Year celebration will be taking place on January 18th, 2023 from 1:15pm-2:45pm for families with children ages 0-6 at 91 Barrington Avenue.
